Applied Mechanics (Philadelphia, PA) will participate in administrative and organizational workshops with Headlong Dance Theater (Philadelphia, PA) to develop a strong sustainable business model, also allowing Headlong to test run their new Incubated Artist program.

Mondo Bizarro (New Orleans, LA) and On the Creek Theater Ensemble (Big Hill, KY) will engage in an artistic exchange to frame the Clear Creek Land & Theater Festival in July 2014. This exchange will focus on: incorporating local Kentucky-based knowledge/stories into Mondo Bizarro’s touring version of CRY YOU ONE and on the development of a newly devised ensemble performance by On the Creek.

NEW NOISE (New Orleans, LA) will engage in a year-long reciprocal exchange of techniques, resources, and labor with the students and teachers at Grow Dat Youth Farm (New Orleans, LA). This collaboration will culminate in the public sharing of NEW NOISE’s latest performance work, Oxblood, on the acreage adjoining Grow Dat’s urban farm in New Orleans City Park.

Director Dipankar Muhkerjee of Pangea World Theater (Minneapolis, MN) will drive an immigrants’ theater exchange with performance artist José Torres-Tama of ArteFuturo Productions (New Orleans, LA) and playwright Raquel Almazan of La Lucha Arts Group (Astoria, NY) to explore the aesthetics of transforming filmed interviews into a performance script, exploring the parallel persecution of Latino and Middle Eastern immigrants in post-9/11 United States.

Roadside Theater (Norton, VA) will partner with Edward Wemytewa, Director of Idiwanan An Chawe (Zuni, NM), to conduct an exchange between Appalachian and Native American performance artists and youth in Zuni, NM and Whitesburg, KY, resulting in a youth-created bilingual play and media and the mentoring and development of young artists in Zuni and Central Appalachia.

SITI Company (New York, NY) and Double Edge Theatre (Ashfield, MA) will engage in a shared inquiry about process, performance creation, ensemble evolution, pedagogy, and artistic growth. This work, including training, dialogue, public events, and documentation will take place at Double Edge’s Rural/ International Farm Center in Ashfield, MA and will include SITI Company members and advanced students.

Su Teatro (Denver, CO) will deepen its relationship with the Latino Theatre Company (Los Angeles, CA) through the presentation of 2 joint works. The ongoing exchange builds on LTC's residency in July 2013.  Su Teatro will travel to LA in Fall 2014, to mount a joint production of Enrique’s Journey with actors from both groups, and they will co-create a short new work.

TeAda Productions (Santa Monica, CA) will engage in an artistic exploration with Intermedia Arts (Minneapolis, MN) to go deeper into their prior relationship. Three artists from Intermedia Arts will come to Los Angeles to engage with TeAda artists for two weeks in ensemble based activities to further develop the performance piece Global Taxi Driver.

Young Nation (Detroit, MI), the digital media and community narrative initiative of Inside Southwest Detroit, will connect with This is Vallejo (Vallejo, CA) and Urban Mentor Network (Oakland, CA); initiatives from similar cities with similar missions. Leveraging a relationship formed by Young Nation with employees of Goodby, Silverstein, and Partnersthe three groups will exchange skills and approaches to using digital media to shape a resident-driven narrative as part of a project called, "Urban Community Narrative Exchange."
