Your financial contributions will allow NET to work on behalf of the field to:

• Advocate: NET is the only organization the United States focusing solely on Ensemble Theater making. NET is working with funders to ensure that their guidelines and support accommodate ensemble structures, practices and ethos. We are working with government agencies to ensure that ensembles are counted and served, as a distinct sector of the theater field. We are raising the awareness of ensemble practices and the greater benefits ensembles bring to communities and the arts field at large.
• Knowledge Building: NET is uniquely positioned to organize and disseminate field learning. Compiling and sharing this information allows us to learn from each other, reducing the inefficiencies that result from “re-inventing wheel.” As a result, ensemble can deepen their organizational and artistic practices. NET supports Learning Exchanges and brings together the field regularly, both nationally and regionally, to exchange ideas and foster collaborations.
• Ensemble Sustainability: Ensembles are small scale, different in practice, and diverse in culture, yet they occupy a vital role in the cultural ecosystem. Ensembles invigorate the theater field, the arts, and our larger society with innovative new works and nimble structural models, and demonstrate success in reaching new, young, and culturally diverse audiences. Whether through capacity-building seminars, touring support, case studies or networking opportunities, all of NET’s activities aim to sustain ensemble practices.
